Wedding Photography, Belfast, Daniel & Eve

Yesterday I had the privilege to photograph the wedding of a beautiful fun filled couple, Miss Evelyn O’Neill to Mr Danielle Bouges. The Service was held in Ardboe, just outside Cookstown and then onward to Belfast city Centre. This wedding proved to be a fantastic day for all. This was a very close & intimate affair, very relaxed with a very chilled couple who could not have been more in love. Eve & Danielle wanted a wedding with a difference with regard to their wedding pictures. So, it was off the Cathedral Quarter in Belfast on a busy Saturday afternoon, staking their Claim along the narrow-cobbled alleyways in the historic Duke of York Pub area, breezing their way through the crowd of well-wishing revelers. The atmosphere was fantastic and made for a great day. Daniel & Eve had their reception at the Home Restaurant in Belfast where they welcomed over 100 guests. The set up in the restaurant was magnificent and created a very relaxed atmosphere. Daniel & Eve have to be the most relaxed couple in a long time, and certainly knew how to relax and enjoy the day. Also a big thank you to Linzie, my beautiful assistant for the help around Belfast. Hope you both enjoyed your big day, and was glad to be part of it. Great day working with you both. Congratulations guys, and all the best for your future. Ian – Ian Pedlow Photography.

Engagement Portrait Jasmin & Josh

Portrait Photography, Belfast, Northern Ireland, Last Saturday I had the privilege of photographing Jasmin & Josh on their engagement. We decided to give it a go outdoors instead of the usual studio shots and headed up to Killynether Park in Newtownards. Despite postponing the scheduled shoot that morning due to the poor weather, we were well rewarded with a great day and beautiful images later that afternoon. Working outdoors gave everyone the freedom to relax and just do what seemed natural. Jasmin & Josh were a fantastic couple to work with and were very relaxed in front of the camera which made the shoot very chilled and easy going. Thanks very much guys for being up for anything and everything. I hope all your planning for the big day comes together as easy as your engagement shoot. Congratulations, Ian – Ian PedlowPhotography

Ben & Amy

On Saturday I had the privilege of photographing Bens & Amys Wedding at the stunning grounds of Grovehill House in Waringstown. The wedding ceremony was held in 1st Killyleagh Presbyterian, Co Down and the bridal pictures taken in the grounds of Bens home at Grovehill. All in all, a superb Venue, never the like I have seen before, with so many different pockets of themed gardens scattered throughout the grounds. On occasions I had to apologize for walking on places I should not have been, and said, “ I hope the gardener doesn’t find out” only to be told by the Groom (Ben) that he was the gardener…. Oops.. The weather was fantastic, and with the help of a fantastic, relaxed bridal party the scene was set. This was very much a close family affair, complimented by a fantastic set of friends and family all ready to party and enjoy the day. Amy looked stunning and very eloquent in her wedding dress, and was well complimented by the Dapper Ben by her side. Hope you both enjoyed your big day, and was glad to be part of it. Great day working with you both. Congratulations guys, and all the best for your future. Ian, Ian Pedlow Photography

Wedding, Suzanne & Ryan, Belfast, Northern Ireland

Last Saturday I had the privilege to photograph the wedding of Suzanne & Ryan at Kilmood Church of Ireland and then onward to the Clandeboye Lodge, Bangor. Suzanne and her entourage of beautiful Bridesmaids were all very chilled out, and ready to enjoy the big day despite the bitter cold weather. I do think the guys suffered a little with the weather, due to the Scottish input of Kilts on the day, but tradition had to be observed regardless of our weather. A big thanks to Suzanne & Ryan and the bridal party, for braving the cold snap & popping in and out for photographs throughout the day. I have never felt it so cold in a long time. This was a very relaxed day for all, and a fantastic couple who could not have been more in love. Hope you both enjoyed your big day, and I was glad to be part of it. Congratulations guys, and all the best for your future. Ian – Ian Pedlow Photography.

Wedding, Co Down, Stephen & Hannah

Yesterday I had the privilege to photograph the wedding of a beautiful fun filled couple, Miss Hannah Cranston to Mr Stephen Harvey. The Service was held at Crossgar Free Presbyterian and then onward to the Mill at Ballyduggan. This wedding proved to be a fantastic day for all. We were treated to a precise performance of some fantastic Driving skills, with the car sliding & dancing around our beautiful bride, with lots of revving and smoking tyres…. Not the usual mundane wedding cars I normally see. This was a very close & intimate affair, very relaxed with a very chilled couple who could not have been more in love. The grounds at the Mill were fantastic, and the weather was very kind to us considering the time of year and we managed to get out all day for the photos in and around the Mill. Hannah & Stephen have to be the most chilled couple in a long time, and certainly new how to relax and enjoy the day. At one point after deciding to go back to the lake for sunset photos, the bride out ran me in a race, leaving me a little puffed out….. Hannah looked beautiful and very eloquent in her wedding dress, and was well complimented by her bridesmaids and Mum. Hope you both enjoyed your big day, and was glad to be part of it. Great day working with you both. Congratulations guys, and all the best for your future. Ian – Ian Pedlow Photography.

Portrait Photography, Belfast, Lucy & Aaron

I recently had the privilege of photographing Lucy & Aaron. Initially we decided on a studio shoot, but with the great weather on the run up to Christmas, we couldn’t resist an outdoor location. We were well rewarded with the weather, and got a lot of fantastic opportunities, rather than been limited to a studio session. It was a joy to photograph these 2 kids, as they were so relaxed, well behaved and just enjoyed the fun time together. This was one of those Photographic Portrait sessions that was so hard to finish as Lucy and Aaron just kept presenting me with so many photographic opportunities. The end result, was a difficult Edit of the images, and ended up giving mum and dad too many images to choose from. Had to keep these images off FB until Christmas was over, as we didn’t want to spoil any surprises for Granny. Great working with you both… Have a great new year, Ian – Ian Pedlow Photography

Wedding Photography – Peter & Lorna – Clandeboye Lodge – Belfast, NI

Last Saturday I had the privilege to photograph the wedding Lorna & Peter at the Clandeboye Lodge, Bangor. This was very much a family affair, very relaxed and everyone helping out, and keeping each other calm. The 2 glamorous mums at the helm, making sure every detail was well covered, and proved to be a fantastic day for all. I had a few little reservations about the weather considering the time of year, but it held up well and managed to get all the photographs taken outside. This was a very close & intimate affair, very relaxed with a very chilled couple who could not have been more in love. Peter took to the “posing groom” role like a duck to water, while his beautiful bride Lorna was just pure natural. A little tear here and there added to the special moments during the day. This was a very relaxed affair, where two people could not have been more chilled out. No worries from my Bride when the dress got dirty, from all the walking around I made them do… phew… but well worth it at the end of the day. Hope you both enjoyed your big day, and I was glad to be part of it. Great day working with you both. Congratulations guys, and all the best for your future. Ian – Ian Pedlow Photography.

Wedding Photography, Belfast, Carly & Jarleth

Yesterday I had the privilege to photograph the wedding of my beautiful Neice, Carly Cranston to Mr Jarlath Woollams. The Service was held at CFC Belfast, and was officiated by Andrew Gibson, (Gibbo), and then onward to the Mill at Ballyduggan. This was very much a family affair, and proved to be a fantastic day for all. Carly decided to keep everyone a little on edge by arriving some 45 mins late, but there you go… it was her day. This was a very close & intimate affair, very relaxed with a very chilled couple who could not have been more in love. The grounds at the Mill were fantastic, with beautiful Autumn colours to match the bride’s bouquet. The weather was very kind to us considering the time of year and we managed to get out all day for the photos in and around the Mill. Carly looked beautiful, and very eloquent in her wedding dress, only to be matched by Jarleth who cleaned up very well indeed. (im impressed Jarleth)…. Hope you both enjoyed your big day, and was glad to be part of it. Great day working with you both. Congratulations guys, and all the best for your future. Ian – Ian Pedlow Photography.

Portrait Photography, Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Last Saturday I had the privilege of photographing 3 beautiful children, for a birthday Portrait for their Nannys. … something special…. birthday…..!! We decided to give it a go outdoors instead of the usual studio shots and headed down to Tullymore in Newcastle, and boy was it well worth it. Just working outdoors gave everyone the freedom to run around and relax and just do what kids do. It was a joy to photograph these 3 kids, as they were so relaxed, well behaved and just enjoyed the fun time together. This was one of those Photographic Portrait sessions that just flowed as all the kids were so photogenic. They just made life so easy for me, and I literally couldn’t put the camera down as they just kept presenting me with so many photographic opportunities. The end result was a beautiful portrait under the trees of three great little kids. Hope Nanny is well pleased, Happy Birthday Brenda. Ian Pedlow Photography.

Wedding of Claire & Kyle in Kilmood, Co. Down

Every now and then, the big days just slots into place, blessed with a great Looking Bride & Groom, a fantastic location for photographs, and lots of fun and laughter, I had the privilege to photograph the wedding of Claire & Kyle recently in Kilmood, Co Down. After their ceremony at Kilmood Church I took Claire & Kyle to Florida Manor for their wedding pictures following on to La-Mon country club & Hotel for their beautiful reception. The weather was a tad windy, but we managed to secure a few sheltered spots within the grounds, which made for some stunning images of Claire & Kyle. A great day was had by all, helped along with a fantastic Bridal party, and a few swigs from the Boys hip flasks. Congratulations guys, and all the best for your future.

Wedding photography in Larchfield Estate, Annahilt

Another fantastic wedding at the beautiful wedding venue, Larchfield Estate, Annahilt Ian & Natasha chose this venue for its beautiful grounds, the stunning scenery and ultimately its privacy. The day was sunny and warm; everyone relaxed, and had a ball. We captured some stunning images of Ian & Natasha, but you know its easy when everyone is relaxed, happy and full of fun. Congratulations Guys.

Wedding Photography, Galgorm Manor, Ballymena, Northern Ireland

Gillian & Andrews recent Wedding was held at the fantastic Galgorm Manor, Ballymena, with the ceremony-taking place in the Ghost house. The Galgorm Manor Hotel was a beautiful location with fantastic photographic opportunities, around the hotel and along side the river. The wedding was very relaxed and very much a close family affair. The wedding ceremony was held in the Ghost house, which was tastefully decorated with a lot of personal touches. It was a privilege to share the couple’s day, and both Gillian and Andrew were very chilled & relaxed and easy to work alongside with. Congratulations guys. Ian – Ian pedlow Photography.

Portrait Photographer, Co Down – Northern Ireland

I was recently asked to photograph a couple of young local musicians from Hillsborough, Northern Ireland, for their FB page and album cover. (Martyn & Debs), known better as the Duo “Silent Echo” We spent a Sunday morning photographing around Hillsborough Forest Park looking out various locations for some portraiture photography. Martyn & Debs gig quite a bit in the Hillsborough area in the Hillside Bar and wanted to keep a local connection with their images and locality in the Co Down village. They both started performing in Hillside Bar, and later progressing to private functions. They are now pushing to play in Belfast and all around Northern Ireland. Their Style is an Acoustic Groove, playing covers and some original material strongly based on Martyn’s rhythmic guitar playing and vocal harmonies with Debbie. Martyn & Debbie Both studied music together and apart, performing in local bands around the country. Debs based in Belfast, and Martyn in Hillsborough, In 2015 they were the Winners of the Singer-songwriter category – Belfast Metropolitan College. A truly fantastic couple to work with and have ended up with some fantastic images, hopefully making it onto their first Album cover. Worth checking out their raw talent when the opportunity arises.

Wedding Photography, Belfast, Northern Ireland

Yesterday I had the privilege to photograph the wedding of Lisa & Andrew in the Ramada Hotel Belfast, Northern Ireland. The ceremony was held in the hotel, and the bridal pictures taken at Musgrave Park. The weather was a little teasing with Dark clouds overhanging, and then a little ray of sunshine every now and then, but we managed to outrun any potential rain clouds. We managed to secure a few sheltered spots within the grounds, which made for some beautiful pictures. Andrew & Lisa were very easy to work with, along with the “international” bridal party to compliment the day. Lisa looked beautiful, stunning and very eloquent in her wedding dress. Im sure Andrew was amazed when his beautiful bride arrived. At the end of the day, I literally stole a few shots while leaving the hotel, as the Manager was chasing me out, but the proof of the beauty is in the attached shot, “A Stunning Bride” Congratulations guys, and all the best for your future. Photography Training, Belfast Northern Ireland

This course is suitable for those wishing to step into the world of photographic editing and is designed to suit the pace of those just starting out, covering all the practicalities of image editing. The photography training is based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, but can be facilitated in your own environment.

I have recently written a few new courses for Photography training purposes, and had the opportunity to meet with David and spend a half day with him on the Basics of Adobe Lightroom. David was interested in some training, to brush up on his skills on photographic editing. After a few emails and some discussion, we were able to work on a plan that suited Davids ideas and current knowledge.

We based the day around what David’s requirement’s were, and formulated a course to suit his needs and at a pace that suited him. We worked through the Lightroom modules step by step, working in in a practical way to suit David’s workflow.

Portrait Photography, Belfast, Northern Ireland, Mollie & Archie

Having photographed the wedding of Natalie & Stuart a few years ago, I recently had the privilege of photographing their 2 beautiful children, Archie & Mollie in my studio. It was a joy to photograph these 2 kids, as they were so relaxed, well behaved and just enjoyed the fun time together. This was one of those Photographic Portrait sessions that was so hard to finish. Mollie & Archie just made life so easy for me, and I literally couldn’t put the camera down. They just kept presenting me with so many photographic opportunities. The end result, was a difficult Edit of the images, and ended up giving mum and dad too many images to choose from.

Jonny & Rhona Wedding Newtownards

Recently I had the privilege to photograph the wedding of Jonny & Rhona at Mountstewart at the Temple of the Winds, Newtownards, Northern Ireland. This wedding ceremony was a little different to other weddings, as the only people in attendance were The Bride & Groom along with 2 witnesses. Never before have I photographed a small wedding of this size, and my initial thoughts were, “How will I fill the day with Photographs.” I was to be proved wrong. This was a very close & intimate affair, very relaxed with a super chilled couple who could not have been more in love. The atmosphere was set, and had a lovely time with Jonny & Rhona, searching out some fantastic locations in the grounds of Mount Stewart. However, the day did have its challenges. Typically, in Northern Ireland the weather was somewhat a tad changeable. It was a little teasing with dark clouds overhanging, and then a little ray of sunshine every now and then. But, also managed high winds and a hailstorm, just the normal NI forecast. We managed to secure a few sheltered spots within the grounds, which made for some beautiful pictures. Rhona looked beautiful, stunning and very eloquent in her wedding dress, and I could see Jonny was somewhat stunned when his beautiful bride arrived. Great day working with you both. Congratulations guys, and all the best for your future. Ian – Ian Pedlow Photography.

Cathy & Michael Belfast Wedding

Yesterday I had the privilege of photographing Cathy & Michaels wedding at the Galgorm Manor Hotel, Ballymena, Northern Ireland. The ceremony was held in Ghost House, and the bridal pictures taken in the grounds. All in all, a fantastic Venue. I have to admit the weather was a little depressing, and assumed we would not get out to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Galgorm. However, my stunning Bride had other ideas, and braved the elements, and was very determined to have some images taken down by the river. So off we trudged to be rewarded with a 10-minute dry spell, accompanied by some complimentary drinks, served by the Manager Paul, who was very attentive to all. We also managed to secure a few sheltered spots within the grounds, which made for some beautiful pictures. This was a very relaxed wedding by all accounts, and Cathy & Michael very cool and chilled, and very much ready for the after party. Cathy looked amazing in her dress, and Michael look pretty good too…. Guys, all the best for the future, Congratulations. Ian, Ian Pedlow Photography
