Recently I had the privilege to photograph the wedding of Jonny & Rhona at Mountstewart at the Temple of the Winds, Newtownards, Northern Ireland. This wedding ceremony was a little different to other weddings, as the only people in attendance were The Bride & Groom along with 2 witnesses. Never before have I photographed a small wedding of this size, and my initial thoughts were, “How will I fill the day with Photographs.” I was to be proved wrong.
This was a very close & intimate affair, very relaxed with a super chilled couple who could not have been more in love. The atmosphere was set, and had a lovely time with Jonny & Rhona, searching out some fantastic locations in the grounds of Mount Stewart. However, the day did have its challenges. Typically, in Northern Ireland the weather was somewhat a tad changeable. It was a little teasing with dark clouds overhanging, and then a little ray of sunshine every now and then. But, also managed high winds and a hailstorm, just the normal NI forecast. We managed to secure a few sheltered spots within the grounds, which made for some beautiful pictures.
Rhona looked beautiful, stunning and very eloquent in her wedding dress, and I could see Jonny was somewhat stunned when his beautiful bride arrived. Great day working with you both. Congratulations guys, and all the best for your future. Ian – Ian Pedlow Photography.
